WHAT WE DO
We work with providers and peer support specialists who care for women through pregnancy and postpartum. We believe that the regular interactions a woman has with health care and support systems during this period are windows of opportunity to introduce discussions about mental health and emotional well-being, and to screen for common mental disorders such as depression and anxiety. We also recognize the importance of having a plan in place for women who screen positive for depression and anxiety and can help with thinking through next steps. Some examples of organizations we have worked with include neonatal intensive care units, home visiting programs, obstetric clinics and pediatric practices.
